Diana for Model Number R263TDPN Where is the release tab on the head to slide it out to put in a new ice tray? And how do I reconnect the little rubber piece that is still connected to the old ice tray that is dangling in my freezer? The ice tray is broken because of trying to install it without removing the head? It cracked and then the bucket itself got water in it and froze the crushing mechanism. But I believe it is still functional. I finally got it out somehow. Diana R263TDPN RS263TDPN/XAA
Answer Diana, If you look on the side of the icemaker where the arm is, just above where the arm screws into the head there is a tab to release the head of the icemaker. As for the rubber piece there should be a thermistor that sits inside the rubber piece and then there would be a cover that goes over it and clips into place. If any of these pieces are missing then you would need a new icemaker. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 30, 2017
