G Hackney for Model Number WF209ANW/XAA-00

I'm getting an error code of E3 when my washer begins the wash cycle. It starts to fill the drum then the code pops up. I believe that is an "Overflow Code" caused by the washer no draining or filling too quickly. I unplugged the machine for 5 minutes and tried everything again. When I turned it on and started a wash cycle the washer started with a drain cycle to clear the drum....which worked fine. Then it began filling again and stopped with the E3 code. It did seem to have an increased water flow. Could it be the cold water valve?

Answer

G. Hackney, The E3 error code for this unit will be caused by a motor drive error or a faulty hall sensor. Check the motor drive connector, it may be loose. The hall sensor may be disconnected, loose, or damaged. Check for a foreign object inside the motor or motor damage. The stator might be loose or damaged. The drum might be overloaded from too many clothes or the relay or PCB might be defective.
