Manufacturer Part Number: WPW10250667

The Suspension Spring is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. It is a critical component that helps to support and stabilize the outer tub during the wash and spin cycles, absorbing vibrations and minimizing excessive movement.

Symptoms of a bad suspension spring include:

  • Excessive shaking or vibrating during the wash or spin cycle
  • Loud banging or rattling noises from the washer
  • The washer moving or "walking" across the floor during operation
  • Leaks or potential damage to other components due to increased stress and movement

Causes of suspension spring failure can range from general wear and tear over time and exposure to high-speed spinning, to physical damage from overloading or unbalanced loads.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Answer

Roger, Yes, the "gurgling" noise after the tub has drained is "normal" The drain pump is "sucking" air through the tub and directing it through the water that remains in the hoses after the drain cycle. Under some circumstances, minor vibration can be "normal" as well. Check and make sure the washer is installed on a good, solid floor, the washer is level, and the front feet are as close to the base of the cabinet and locked in place, Then check the rear self levelling rear feet are level and locked in place. Open the lid, grasp the top of the agitator and move the tub in a circular motion and check that the tub moves freely and isn't "sticking" in any position. Once all is done and the washer is back in position. Place the timer in the final spin/drain cycle and start the machine, stand in front of the washer about 6 to 10 inches away from the front. If you can feel vibration in your feet, then the floor is a bit weak and causing the remainder of the vibration.
