Fernando for Model Number Unknown, but it is a GE My GE clothes washer some times gets unbalanced and makes awful hitting noises. Since the washer stopped spinning, I removed the worn-out belt and noticed that there must be some sort of spring missing that holds the bottom of the tub from going wild while spinning. Is that the counterweight spring you are talking about?
Answer Hello Fernando. If you have a GE washer you will need to check the tub suspension rods and springs. If they are worn or bad the machine will be out of balance. The suspension spring your looking at is for a Whirlpool. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 11, 2011
