I hired a repairman, who took off the top of the sump pump and told me I needed a new motor because the main bearing was worn out. I pulled the dishwasher; the 4-year-old motor was perfectly fine, but the capacitor nut was loose, allowing it to rattle. Problem mostly solved, though it is still fairly noisy during wash cycles.
Answer Hello Gid, The most common failure with this design is the chopper assembly W10083957V. You should remove and ensure the shaft, chopper, and spring are still one assembly. If this is not the issue and nothing is in the bottom of the sump where it can contact the impeller, the motor WPW10757217 is suspect. Read More...
