Roland for Model Number LAT9416AAE My washer spins during start of wash cycle. I replaced the timer, but it did not solve the problem. I noticed that the agitator floats a bit without load and with load. Since the agitator floats, I pulled the agitator out and the agitator shaft came out with it. What would I do to fix it or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
Answer Hello Roland, This will most likely take a transmission to repair since the initial problem initiates from the lower transmission seal leaking oil into the brake assembly. Since the seal actually wears a groove in the transmission shaft and the new seal doesn't seat properly, the transmission 6-2097750 normally has to be replaced. Internally, the upper shaft is retained in the transmission by the agitator shaft spring WP215581 but the yoke WP6-2066850 is most likely broken. Read More...
