Joseph L. for Model Number LLR6144AQO I obtained replacement Agitator Dogs, AP3119063, and found that my machine did not contain the washer that holds the dogs in place while reassembling. I was able, with great difficulty to successfully reassemble as instructed and everything seems to be operating correctly. However, I read one comment about the replacement dogs wearing out very quickly and when questioning about this, you indicated that a grease should have been applied to the dogs when reassembling. Nowhere in your video, or parts list, does it state that you need to apply any grease to these parts to properly replace the dogs.
Answer Hello Joseph, The agitator grease is 350849 and, if used, should be done sparingly so it will not make its' way into the wash. If installed dry, these will wear relatively quickly since they will always drag in one direction of the agitators rotation. The agitator kit for your model is 285811 and is recommended for repair of this design agitator. The next time you experience an issue with the agitator, you may want to order it and the grease can be ordered at that time. I'm sorry for the confusion. Read More...
