For Whirlpool Washer Agitator Dogs (Part Number: OEM9357198)

Stan for Model Number CAM2742TQ2

Will 2 out of 4 broken agitator dogs prevent the tub from spinning in the spin cycle? My unit starts, pumps water, agitates when I take a look opening lid, but when the final rinse/spin cycle hits does not spin. I replaced clutch and coupler already. Another thing I noticed in the spin cycle. I open the lid and it's not spinning. I can then move tub left and right a bit. I move it left/right more agressively and it sort of clicks in place. I put the lid down and the tub is spinning high speed. Run a new cycle, and the final rinse/spin cycle, the tub is not spinning. Ideas?

Stan, Based on this issue, this will be a neutral drain that is located in the gearcase that would be faulty and the gearcase would need to be replaced.

Stephanie, if there is not 120VAC going to the valve while it is allowing water through, the valve WPW10140917 has failed and would need to be replaced.

A. Jones, This will require the machine to be disassembled enough to see where the water is coming from (a hose, the pump, or the tub). If you feel comfortable doing this then it would likely be a DIY project.

Jeremie, There will be a bolt that would hold the agitator in place and you will need to check to make sure that it is in place.

Gilberto, If the coupler and clutch have been replaced it is either the gearcase or possibly basket drive ears have sheared off. You can visually inspect this with the agitator out. W10820043 We have a video for you also on this part.

Joe, the upper agitator WP3363003 should pull free from the lower agitator. A repair video can be viewed on the upper agitator item page for reference.
