Chris for Model Number KAWS750LQ0 I replaced the agitator dogs on this washer recently but the lack of agitation has continued (or returned). The agitator is only going back and forth less than an inch at a time and although the top of the agitator spins freely in one direction with my hand it doesn't really release when laundry is in there, the whole agitator goes back and forth. CLothes are not getting clean or moving around. Should I just check that I installed everything correctly? Or should I be looking for something else. Thanks for your advice , as always.
Answer Chris, the agitator base 3950580 (part has been discontinued by manufacturer) would need to be inspected for any stripped out teeth. If there are no stripped teeth, then the next step would be to observe the agitator move with a low water level (tub empty of clothes) to see if the transmission shaft is slipping.
