John Smith for Model Number 188414 50G Whirlpool Electric water heater I see a rusty water leak from the top of the tank near the PRV, although the PRV is functioning normally. If I replace the Anode Rod, would it reduce the rust? Do you also need to remove the elements? The water tank is 12.5 yrs old. Thanks.
