Frank Trying to find anode rod on top of whirlpool water heater. Took plug out and removed styrofoam but can not see the bolt. Can it be out of line with the hole?
Answer Frank, the anode rod should have a screw base at the top of the water heater. If the anode rod has eroded and broken off from the base, then the long portion of the rod would have fallen into the tank and would be difficult to retrieve. Read More...
