Shawn for Model Number Whirlpool E1F50RD045V There is a sticker on top of water heater that says “ANODE” next to a plastic plug. I removed the plug and it is filled with foam as are the other 2 plugs on top of the tank. All the videos I have watched have not shown having to dig any foam out to get to the anode, it’s usually just a hex nut on top of the tank. One diagram I found showed multiple locations, one of them being a part of the hot water outlet. I have not been able to find an anode that would work on the hot water side outlet. HELP!
Answer Shawn, Remove that insulation and the rod should be located under that foam. There is not a rod for the hot water side and there is only one rod on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 6, 2023
