Rodney A. OK, I pressed the cancel button and it did remove the PF but the screen is now blank. I pressed the on button and the clock button and nothing happens. When you press the minute or second button it just beeps.
Answer Hello Rodney, As per the manufacturer, check all connections before replacing components, looking for broken or loose wires, failed terminals, or wires not pressed into connectors far enough. You should also check the power connection to the unit, (pigtail and terminal block and/or junction box wire nuts), for bad connections. The breaker shouldn't be left out of these checks. If all checks out, the issue can be inside the unit. The same applies to all connections inside the unit as far as checking for poor connections. Some models have a step-down transformer which powers the low voltage to the control which can be causing the issue. We can go into detail and help much more efficiently with a valid model number since we need to study the wiring diagram of the unit in question. Read More...
