Kate for Model Number KGSA906PSS00 This is the second time that the membrane on my control panel has quit working..... the design on the KitchenAid range is poorly done.... crumbs collect behind the panel and over time build up and disable membrane. (There is no way to clean behind membrane without breaking it.) The last time this happened several years ago it cost over $600 to fix... this time I am doing it myself and ordering the part on line. Is AP3777757 the correct part?
Answer Hello Kate. Yes, WP9756559ES is correct. To replace the membrane switch you will need to peel it off the control panel and before installing the new one you will want to make sure that you clean the control panel with rubbing alcohol to get all of the sticky residue off. When putting the new part on you will want to make sure that it is straight and you get it in place right the first time because if you have to peel it back off it could damage the internal workings of the membrane.
