Ty for Model Number MDE308DAYW I recently replaced the motor pulley, idler pully, belt, rear drum rollers, and the two drum glides on my dryer and everything seems to run fine, however when I first start it there is a loud rumbling noise. Once the dryer runs for a few minutes, the noise goes away. I searched a little bit online and it seem the blower fan may be worn out. Does this sound like symptoms of the blower fan needing to be replaced?
Answer Ty, Yes, it does sound like the blower wheel 56000 has separated from the metal hub and is making the noise. Does it also make the noise when the dryer stops ? Also check and make sure the motor mount 503613 is secured to the dryer base properly. If loose or flexing, the blower wheel can rub on the housing and make a noise as well. Read More...
