Dale for Model Number MDE9700AYW My Maytag dryer runs, but generates no heat. I plan to replace the thermal fuse and thermostat, and maybe the thermistor. Are there parts accessible from the rear, or will dissembly on the front be required?
Answer Hello Dale, you'll want to test at the heating element for 240v. If you are not showing 240v, you can test to see if you are getting voltage from the board and through the hi limit. If your hi limit and safety thermostat are testing good but show no voltage through them, you'll want to check the motor switch. If no voltage to ground on terminal 2 to ground, replace motor.
