Mary Lou for Model Number KP26M1XOB5 I have an Onyx Black Kitchen Aid Professional 600 Mixer - Model KP26M1XOB5. I need the complete planetary with the entire shaft (the long splined shaft - actually two parts splined together). The bottom plate with a short shaft has fallen off the mixer and the two pieces of the shaft will not go back together as they are splined and I believe it is stripped. I was informed that the entire planetary with the long splined shaft (which is actually two pieces splined together) must be replaced to repair the mixer. Your website shows part 9708176/AP6013765 as the part that I need. However, it does not give me the color of the cover/case. Does this planetary have the shaft that goes up into the gears of the mixer and is the cover black? I was also given the part number of 4439040 by a Kitchen Aid rep- but the photo they provided does not show the shaft. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
