Shawn January 10, 2023 for Model Number KV25G0XOB The planetary part #wp97708176 does not fit my unit. The shaft is 1/4 in short to fit pin in with everything meshed correctly. and shaft is missing slot for o-ring to prevent grease from coming down the shaft from gearing. any recommendations? the part comes up in the part search for my model number but when you confirm model # it says not direct fit.
1 Answer Shawn, the center shaft o-ring WP67500-55 (video showing location available in the part information page) would be pre-installed on the planetary as it is located at the bottom of the pinion shaft. As the manufacturer is recommending the planetary WP9708176 for use with the model number provided, it would be recommended that the unit is inspected for any debris that may be preventing the planetary shaft from seating fully. Mary Lou May 10, 2022 for Model Number KP26M1XOB5 I have an Onyx Black Kitchen Aid Professional 600 Mixer - Model KP26M1XOB5. I need the complete planetary with the entire shaft (the long splined shaft - actually two parts splined together). The bottom plate with a short shaft has fallen off the mixer and the two pieces of the shaft will not go back together as they are splined and I believe it is stripped. I was informed that the entire planetary with the long splined shaft (which is actually two pieces splined together) must be replaced to repair the mixer. Your website shows part 9708176/AP6013765 as the part that I need. However, it does not give me the color of the cover/case. Does this planetary have the shaft that goes up into the gears of the mixer and is the cover black? I was also given the part number of 4439040 by a Kitchen Aid rep- but the photo they provided does not show the shaft. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
1 Answer Mary Lou, the onyx black planetary WP9708176 would be used with the model number provided. It includes the short and long shafts. Read More...
Daniel F. January 12, 2020 for Model Number KP26M1XLC While reassembling the mixer after replacing the planetary assembly (AP6013765), I can not replace the pin that sits in the shaft just above the planetary follower. The hole for the pin falls just short of being clear Of the bearing. It’s as if the shaft is not fully inserted, but I cannot find anything that would keep it from properly seating. Any ideas on what the issue may be?
1 Answer Daniel, You have to manipulate the planetary and the gears and make sure they mesh together and seat properly. "Make sure the planetary gear has grease on it and locate it back into place and rotate until gear meshes with the internal gear. Hold the Planetary in place with one hand and slide the worm follower gear into place, then the pin for the gear and then the bevel gear. You will then have to replace the snap ring into place to hold it all in place." Read More...

Romano September 12, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool KP26M1XNP6 Why you sell Planetary replacement parts for stand mixer Whirlpool KP26M1XNP6 to different prices? Have you different quality between these replacement parts? If so, please tell me ASAP! Thanks in advance...
1 Answer Hello Romano! The KP26M1XNP6 is not a valid model number it seems. I show models KP26M1XNP* that are 6 quart stand mixers. The planetary comes in different colors, which is why the prices are different. We will need your full model number to verify the correct part numbers needed. Thanks. Read More...
