Kathleen I replaced the auto load sensing switch after I over-loaded the machine with a wet comforter. (Water soaked large plush carpet!) I forgot to hook up the tube and it wouldn't stop filling. I put it on the spin cycle to empty and now it won't fill. Is that why I have to replace it AGAIN?
Answer Kathleen, Hopefully, there wasn't any water damage to the electrical components in the control console? Make sure the washer tub is completely empty, then blow in the end of the tube; you should be able to hear the air entering the tub connection indicating no blockages, kinks, twists, etc. Attach the tube to the switch and make sure there is a tight fit. attach the wires to the switch, make sure they're seated and locked in place, restore power and water to the washer and try it again.
