Jt for Model Number Kenmore/Whirlpool top load washer mod # 11020912990

Washer started running out of balance on spin cycle. Machine is level, the 4 springs, pressure plate and both sets of pads (all 8) have been replaced. The balance ring has no cracks/leaks and contains 50% solution fill. The rear spring connected to the base is intact, and not rusted. After replacing all these parts, machine is only slightly better during the spin cycle, but still vibrating too much and shaking the floor and walls. Any other repair options would be appreciated. I ran the machine with lid open and it appears the top of the tub is shifting back and forth more than the base during the spin. Drive block is in good condition. Thank you.

Answer

JT, Try moving the washer to another room or outside on the patio or driveway. Then restore power make sure it's level and the legs are locked in place, and start the washer in the final spin and drain cycle and check for any excess vibration. Based on your post information " but still vibrating too much and shaking the floor and walls" would indicate a problem in the floor/flooring, Everything in the suspension system and tub sounds proper / normal. Moving the machine to a more solid footing will help determine if the problem is in the washer or the floor/flooring.
