Jim Mac for Model Number TAWB600PQ0 I need to replace the ring balancer part number 3956205. I have the washer cabinet dismantled and now need to remove the old part from the drum. How do the clips holding it to the inside drum release? I saw in another post that the new ring will come with clips. Thank you. Jim
Answer Jim, Once you have access to the spin basket(tub cover removed) It's easiest if you use a screwdriver to press in on the plastic retainer tabs, and lift up on the tub balance ring. It can be tricky, there's not a lot of play between the tub and ring, and the ring has a tendency to drop back down and the retainer locks back in. Read More...
