Sergio M. for Model Number mav408daww My washer is making a loud noise during the wash and spin cycle. It sounds like a loud humming or very fast clicking noise. Is my lower bearing going out or something different, and if it is, would I need to buy a spanner wrench to replace it?
Answer Hello Sergio, The pump WP35-6780 requires no spanner wrench to replace. I believe a 5/16 inch socket and a 3/8 inch socket are needed in addition to the 5/16 for the drain hose clamp removals. Some of these may require a pair of pliers to remove the drain hoses from the pump, but I can't remember but a few that has the pinch type clamps on them. Most have the automotive style hose clamps on them which are much easier to work with. Be sure to unplug the unit before beginning! Read More...
