Rich for Model Number Maytag Neptune mah3000aaw We have ignored the turbo prop plane sound during the spin cycle for a long time. Today it stopped spinning altogether. I opened the back and found the belt off the pully and motor and wear marks in the tub (not yet through the plastic) where the pully and/or belt have been rubbing against the tub. The pully also rotates front to back. When I put the belt backing it won't stay and pulls the pully against the tub. Can you tell me what I need to fix this? Im handy and open to replacing the front and rear bearings in the tub. Will just replacing the front and rear bearings get everything back in alignment? Will I also need a new belt and pully? Thanks for your help!
Answer Hello Rich. No, to repair the unit you will need to replace the outer tub 22004465 and if the support is bad or marked on the shaft, the support W10181639 will need to be replaced as well. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 5, 2012
