Gallagher I have been noticing for several months that the bottom of the glass on my inner door has been getting really scratched up. Recently after hearing a scratching noise coming from my washing machine I opened the door I saw that the spring clamp (front) was all tangled up in a very thin fleece blanket. A big chunk of the bellow was torn out about the same width of the spring on the clamp in the same area my glass is all scratched up. My duet washer is about 9 years old. Nothing has ever been worked on or replaced in that area. What could have caused this to happen?( I noticed that the edges of the clamp where the spring attaches are very sharp.)
Answer Gallagher, We would need to have the model number of the unit to be able to assist properly with your question. For the spring to be loose it would have had to have gotten caught on something. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 4, 2016
