Answer Hello Bobbie, You have to use the belt listed by the manufacturer for the drum to turn at the correct RPM. If you use a different belt it will not be the exact length and the drum will either spin too fast or too slow which will cause an incorrect tumble, severely impairing the units' ability to dry the clothes properly.
