Roy M. for Model Number 11042822202 I have a Kennmore HE3 front-loading washer. About three weeks ago, the belt slipped off. I retightened the nut holding the pulley on and put the belt back on. It worked until today. (By the way, with a household of 10 and their friends, we do a lot of laundry!) The belt had slipped off, gone behind the pulley and broke. I took the nut and pulley off. The bolt where the nut goes seems solid (no play, etc.) The pulley has play about 1/2 inch left and right without the nut on. I know I need a new belt, but do I need a pulley too? I don't know what the hole in a new pulley is supposed to look like. I've seen no grease/oil leakage anywhere either, just the black residue from the old belt. Can I put a washer between the nut and pulley to keep it tight? Thank you very much!
Answer Hello Roy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the outer tub assembly W10772617 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 14, 2012
