John for Model Number GR9FHTXVQ00 Freezer is working fine, refrigerator is not cold enough. Took freezer apart to see what was going on, and coils had a lot of frost, and the fan was having hard time spinning, and the downspout to the fridge was also almost frozen so that the air way was very constricted.. Shut down fridge to thaw out. Put everything back, and the freezer works OK, have it set to recommended setting measured temp inside and was at 28 degrees. The fridge part does not seem very cold, the fan does not seem to blow down very strong, even in the freezer, the fan is on, but appears weak. Temperature in fridge is 54 degrees. What do you think is the problem? Thanks in Advance
Answer John, The recommended freezer setting for a refrigerator is 0 degrees plus or minus 5 degrees. If the freezer is at 28 degrees then it is too warm and would be causing the refrigerator to not get cold enough. The fan slowly spinning will cause this type of effect so it would most likely be the cause for the warmer temps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 31, 2014
