Lori S. for Model Number GFSS6KEXCSS My fan is not working in the refrigerator. I have changed the motor and the bimetal and its still not working. I first took the freezer apart thinking it was all in the freezer like most and my ice maker is not working now either. The water is turned on. Does the bi-metal have anything to do with the fan working? It seems like everything else is running fine.
Answer Hello Lori, You will need to look in the freezer compartment for the fan WR60X10254 that circulates air into the fresh food compartment. This fan should be checked to ensure it is running at full speed. If so, remove the rear wall of the freezer compartment to check for a frost build-up on the evaporator coils. Read More...
