Long for Model Number ET1MTEXLQ02 Hi I seem to have a problem with a defrost system because ice collects around the heater and blocks all the vent. First I check the heater with ohm meter ,it does show I have a continuity. Then I check the bimetal defrost and it does show I have a open circut. I order new bimetal defrost replace it. I still have a same problem with ice after 2 weeks ice will collected around the vent. *How many ohm for the heater? . The timer where it is located?
Answer Hi Long. The timer is actually called a Adaptive Defrost Control Board that monitors much more than defrost. They have upgraded these boards lately so they are better. This part # is WP2304099. It is located in the controls on the left side of the cabinet. The defrost element ohms out to 11-28 ohms as long it is not open. If you tested the bimetal while it was room temperature and found it closed you need to replace it with part # WP4387503. Thank you. Read More...
