Joanne for Model Number GB2FHDXWQ01 I have the bottom freezer refrigerator. That is working fine but my refrigerator on top is not cooling. Could this be a problem with a fan?
Answer Joanne, It's not likely the evaporator fan is the issue, but it is a good possibility. Open the freezer and check the back wall for a build up of frost or ice on the back wall. This indicates a defrost issue, and that could cause poor air circulation to the refrigerator. Then remove the grille cover 67003900 from the control box in the back of the refrigerator and check to see if the auto damper WPW10196393 or damper door isn't stuck closed. If you remove the front kickplate grille cover you should find the tech data sheet attached to the bottom of the refrigerator, in a plastic bag.
