Steven for Model Number KEBC208KSS02 Good morning, I have a self cleaning double oven. There are two cooling fans. Im not referring to the convection fans. Which fans operate when only one oven is selected? Is the top fan always on no matter which oven is on? My oven has for years and years sounded like a deisel locomotive ideling on the siding. The upper oven is used four times as much as the lower. Can i remove the oven and remove the two back covers and operate the oven to see which one is making the noise. Is there another electrical component besides the fans which could be making the noise...eg transformer?
Answer Steven, the upper blower WP4455334 operates at a low speed during any cooking cycle to ensure that the oven control has airflow to prevent excessive heat build-up. The oven can be moved to observe where the noise could be originating from specifically. However, it would be recommended that the fans are inspected for any debris that could be causing this noise.
