Ken for Model Number LDG9800 The Maytag dryer ignites and the flame burns for about 15 seconds and then goes out. Move control knob to new setting and it will flame for 15=/- seconds and flame stops again. What are my options to repair? thanks, Ken
Answer Ken, based on this information, it would be likely that the valve coils 279834 have failed. They can be tested for resistance. The two-prong coil will read 1,000-1,300 ohms, and the three-prong coil will read 1,300-1,400 ohms across prongs 1&2, and 500-600 ohms across prongs 1&3. Read More...
