Jj for Model Number Maytag LSE7804ACE Hello, I just received my new blower wheel. I replaced it and turned the wheel by hand prior to reassembling. The rumbling that caused me to order the wheel is still there, and I notice that the new wheel is rubbing on the housing on the right side, just like the old one was. Any ideas will be appreciated. I thought about adding a nylon washer behind the blower wheel to give me that extra space to clear the housing. I wondered if there is an adjustment for the alignment of the motor instead, since there was not a washer behind the wheel when I removed the original. I've had this machine for more than twenty years and I've only had to replace bearings and belt for the dryer and now the blower wheel. thanks in advance for any advice- JJ
Answer JJ, the motor mounting clips WPY015825 would need to be checked to identify if one has come loose, allowing the motor to shift. The blower housing would also need to be inspected for any shifting and corrected as necessary. If the motor clip has come loose, it can be put back into place. However, if one of the clips have bent or become damaged, replacing it would be recommended. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 7, 2022
