Joe I've determined a rumbling sound coming from my Maytag dryer. I've removed the blower wheel from the motor and eliminated any rumblings. Should the blower wheel have a flat spot in its center to be held securely to the motor shafts flat area? My wheels center is completely round and could this be causing the problem? Thanks, Joe
Answer Yes, it is possible your blower wheel is causing the noise. Part number Y303836 is supposed to have a flat side. Sometimes they will wear out in the center and the sloppy fit causes it to wobble making a noise. Sounds like you're on the right track. Thanks! Read More...
