Dave for Model Number abb1924web1 I am having an issue with frosting up evaporator. I replaced the control but the unit still freezes over. Is there a way to put the refrigerator in defrost so I can check the amp draw from the heater coil? Or is there another avenue I should be persuing?
Answer Dave, Since the control has already been replaced you will want to pull the rear cover of the freezer and do a continuity test of the defrost heater and thermostat. If one does not have continuity then replace the part. There would be a tech sheet under the right front side of the cabinet that will have forced defrost information to check. Read More...
