Jeff for Model Number GX5FHDXVY00 The evaporator keeps freezing up. The defrost heater and defrost thermostat both check okay. This leaves the defrost timer. I was told that the timer is part of the board in these models. Is this true and how do you replace it?
Answer Hello Jeff. Yes, it is part of the board WPW10503278. Remove light shield by sliding shield to rear to release cover.2. Depress with a screw driver through two slots in the front of the light housing release tabs to release Control Board housing. 3. Control Board housing will drop down exposing Control Board. 4.
