Bill for Model Number MFF2558VEM4 Our refrigerator is making a clicking noise continuously. The temperatures in the frig and freezer seem to be OK. I researched the problem a little bit and found that in older models the defrost timer would cause a clicking sound. This model does not seem to have a defrost timer. So is the timer in the control board? The noise is annoying but is it something that I should be concerned about?
Answer Hello Bill, try to find out where the noise is coming from first. If in fresh food section check to see if the damper mounted on rear wall in center top is opening/closing non stop. If in the freezer section check if the ice maker is making ice or just rotating. If the noise seems to be underneath/behind the cabinet, take off the rear compartment cover and check if its from the compressor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 3, 2019
