Dave for Model Number LAT9704AAE Our washer will not do the spin cycle. I have changed the belt and springs, but still will not spin. If I set it on the spin and hand turn the drum it will start to spin slowly then pick up speed when the drum is empty. Could this be the brake assembly or the trans dee? Thank you
Answer Dave, it's probably neither. check the motor carriage and make sure it moves freely back and forth. Make sure the belts are adjusted properly. Install the belts, hold the motor in position and squeeze the pump belt in the center, the interior surfaces should barely touch each other.
