Trinidad for Model Number LAT9804AAE My washer agitates, but it will not spin. Often times I would reset the entire wash cycle and then the washer would go through the entire process and make it to the end having spun and drained the load. Over time, more and more when I come back to the washer there is still water in the tub with the load inside. I have replaced the washer drain pump, the belts look like they are in perfect condition. When I try to wash a very heavy load, it always stops at the spin portion of the wash, does not spin and the water does not drain. The timer advances to the end. When I remove the wash load from the tub and restart the cycle, sometimes the washer will go through the entire process and be empty at the end. Sometimes it will again not spin and not drain the water, even when there is no load inside the washer drum. After the research, I am assuming it is either the brake assembly, or the tub bearing that I need to replace. I do not see anything leaking from underneath after having removed the front panel. Thank you
Answer Hello Trinidad, This will most likely be an issue with the spin bearing considering the design of the unit. You will need to order both the Mounting Stem Repair Kit 6-2095720 and the Tub Bearing Repair Kit 6-2040130 to properly repair the unit. Read More...
