Jeff for Model Number LAT9235AAE I received a call about this washer not spinning. My customer informed me that he had another repairman working on it that replaced the bearing, for a screeching noise, and then 2 weeks later, replaced the brake assembly because it was still screeching. Now it won't spin. It agitates while when it's supposed to spin. What was done wrong? Could it be a bad brake assembly? Or simply assembled wrong? I'm thinking the roller bearing that sits on the drive pulley may be bad or wasn't replaced when the machine was assembled.
Answer Jeff, the brake assembly would need to be inspected for proper installation as it is possible that the spacing of the drive block is not set to 3/8"clearance from the pulley when the pulley is against the brak assembly.
