Turn the timer past agitate cycle, tub drains and spins. Fills at the rinse cycle. At the rinse agitate cycle, belts rotate, no agitating and smells like burning rubber. Turn the timer past agitate cycle, tub drains, spins and is done. Under the machine rotating the center wheel counter clockwise, no prob. The drum spins. Can only rotate the wheel 1/2 revolution clockwise. Then it stops. Tried rotating the agitator inside the tub, does not budge. I know it's not the motor because I replaced the motor thinking that was the issue. I was incorrect.
Answer Chuck, if there is not an item stuck between the agitator and the spin basket, the failure would be in the transmission being seized up.
