Johnny for Model Number WTW5200SQ0 My washer will not stop spinning. The washing cycle takes the same amount of time as usual but won't stop spinning until slowed manually or after a while it will eventually slow and come to a stop. I can hear the motor engage and click between cycles, as normal, agitation works, it fills properly, it spins at the normal speed (I believe) just won't stop. I can hear the motor switch off when he timer reaches the end but the basket spins till it loses momentum. Would new Brake Shoes help with this Problem?
Answer Johnny, With the motor shutting down but the tub still spinning would indicate that the brake is not engaging when it stops. This could be the shoes causing the issue or the brake itself sticking causing the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 20, 2014
