Curt for Model Number jen aire JGD8130 Recently replaced a defective igniter on a 12 year old cooktop - a service tech told me i should clean the burners periodically. On this cartridge, I unscrewed both burners and blew out A LOT of rust. After replacing, the new ingiter works fine but when i use either burner, after about 3 - 5 minutes of being lit, there is a loud woosh and the burner(s) go out. I have had these cartridges apart numerous times but have never had a problem. I have switched sides and same thing happens. The burners on the other cartridge works fine on either side. Will replacing the burners(AP4420176?????) resolve this issue.
Answer Hello Curt. You will need to check and make sure the burners WP3403M075-10 are clear from all debris. If not, you will have the problems you are having. A small piece of rust or dirt can clogg and orifice in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 29, 2012
