Chuck G September 11, 2013 for Model Number jenn-air JGA8100ADB burner I purchased a new burner to replace the old one . When I went to changing it out I found that the new burner does not have pre drilled holes in bottom where the gas line connects to burner like the old one. Do I drill 2 small holes in bottom and connect the gas line like the old burners. please advise.
1 Answer Chuck, Since the holes were not in the burner head you can drill the holes for it to attach to the tubing. You will want to make sure that when you drill the holes out that you get any shavings from the holes and from inside the burner head. Read More...

Mur November 01, 2012 for Model Number JDS9860A This range is fitted for propane, but the temperature of the flames has always been low - boiling water takes forever. Is there any way to increase it?
1 Answer Hello, here is a link to the conversion process https://www.whirlpool.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Installation%20Instructions%20-%208101P534-60.pdf . Make sure the conversion was performed properly, however when this unit runs on L.P it will bring down the ratings of the burners to 7,500-9,000 btu's. Thanks! Read More...

Curt February 27, 2012 for Model Number jen aire JGD8130 Recently replaced a defective igniter on a 12 year old cooktop - a service tech told me i should clean the burners periodically. On this cartridge, I unscrewed both burners and blew out A LOT of rust. After replacing, the new ingiter works fine but when i use either burner, after about 3 - 5 minutes of being lit, there is a loud woosh and the burner(s) go out. I have had these cartridges apart numerous times but have never had a problem. I have switched sides and same thing happens. The burners on the other cartridge works fine on either side. Will replacing the burners(AP4420176?????) resolve this issue.
