Jj for Model Number GD8300SW2 Hello Dryer will dry fine. Wife noticed a dark spot inside drum that was extremely hot to the touch. I removed the lower panel and noticed a small flame coming out of the top of the burner tube vent hole. It was high enough to touch the outside of the drum, create that burn mark on the inside of the drum. I closed the gas valve leading to the dryer to about 50%. I then watched the dryer ignite over and over again seeing if I could replicate that small flame as the dryer timed off, but no luck. Could this just be a strange one time instance? The dryer is about 8 years old. If I replace something, would it be the burner tube or the whole burner assembly? Should I leave the gas valve at 50%? Thank you
Answer JJ, This issue would most likely be caused by a burner assembly that would need to be replaced. It would not be recommended to keep gas at 50% as it may have drying issues. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 31, 2017
