This genuine OEM replacement part is a burner and gas valve assembly for dryers. The burner and gas valve assembly is a complete assembly that contains the burner that distributes the gas in a way that creates an even flame allowing for heat to be distributed properly to perform the dryer's essential function. If the dryer is no longer drying clothes effectively or heating properly, then it might be time for it to be replaced. Luckily repairing a gas valve assembly is a relatively simple job.To replace the burner and gas valve assembly, begin by shutting off power to the appliance. Next, pull the dryer away from the wall to gain access to the back panel. Remove the back panel and locate the burner and gas valve assembly. Remove the mounting screws that hold it in place. After removing the screws use both hands to pull and release the old burner assembly. Set it off to the side and proceed to install the new one by refastening the screws that hold it in place. This replacement part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand washers.

For Whirlpool Gas Valve Assembly (Part Number: OEM11565327)

Jay H. for Model Number 110.95861400

I have a problem with my Kenmore/Whirlpool gas dryer model 110.95861.1400. It operates well but with a high pitch squeal after the burner is running for a minute or so. If you change the temp to extra low or air fluff the squeal stops. It starts squealing a minute or so after the heat comes back on. What’s wrong and how do I fix this? This dryer is performing well but the squeal is making me nuts. Jay for Model Number 110.95861400 ANSWER Hello Jay, replace the 2 rear drum rollers WPW10314173 and the drum support shaft WPW10359272. Since this complaint is heat-related, the rear drum rollers/shafts are on the rear bulkhead near the heater duct and may be worn. That wasn’t the problem. I replaced the rear rollers and shafts as recommended but still the squeak. Now that I am a lot more familiar with the inside of this dryer and with the lower front panel off So I can see, I can confirm the squeal comes from the back of the burner assembly and only makes noise when there is flame. Is there an adjustment that might stop this noise? The noise starts just has a really makes a sound and the igniter lights to flame. Please advise. I’m going to purchase a new burner unit but I noticed there’s no step-by-step video for the duet burner. Can you recommend where I can find it?

Jay sounds like a couple of possibilities, The first is an "expansion" rattle caused by the burner cone or burner flue expanding from the heat, causing a rattle or squealing noise. The second possibility would be the drum roller and axle have dried out from the heat and is making the noise, a drop or two of "turbine" oil on the shaft or roller bearing would solve that issue.

Mark, Check the venting of the unit to ensure that it is not clogged up. Check from the venting where the lint filter is all the way to the outside of the home. If the venting is not clogged then this will most likely be an issue with the gas valve itself.

Bob, To check for a gas leak you would need to use a bubble solution around any of the joints where there is gas located.

Rodd, The model number you supplied is incorrect or incomplete (MGDX555DW2) we will need a proper model number to assist you, correctly. Also, you will need 10 to 11 WCI of pressure to the gas valve, for the burner to operate properly, not 9 WCI. Then you can install the W11581317 / 8576846 Lp Gas Conversion Kit or similar kit depending on the proper model number.

Jj for Model Number GD8300SW2

Hello Dryer will dry fine. Wife noticed a dark spot inside drum that was extremely hot to the touch. I removed the lower panel and noticed a small flame coming out of the top of the burner tube vent hole. It was high enough to touch the outside of the drum, create that burn mark on the inside of the drum. I closed the gas valve leading to the dryer to about 50%. I then watched the dryer ignite over and over again seeing if I could replicate that small flame as the dryer timed off, but no luck. Could this just be a strange one time instance? The dryer is about 8 years old. If I replace something, would it be the burner tube or the whole burner assembly? Should I leave the gas valve at 50%? Thank you

JJ, This issue would most likely be caused by a burner assembly that would need to be replaced. It would not be recommended to keep gas at 50% as it may have drying issues.

When I turned the dryer on, I see the igniter glowing, then the flame comes on for 10 seconds, and shuts off for about 1 minute and 10 seconds. Again, the ignitor starts glowing, then the flame comes on for 10 seconds, and shuts off for about 1 minute and 10 seconds. This on-off cycle keeps repeating. I've checked my vent and is completely clean, no restrictions at all. I've already changed the gas solenoid valves and flame sensor. I've checked all other components using multimeter for continuity and seems to be ok. I would appreciate if you can help me in diagnosing which part is faulty. I can send you a video if you prefer. Thanks

Bijal, This issue would normally be caused by faulty gas solenoids but can also be caused by an air flow issue. Since both of these have been check then this will be a faulty gas valve which would need to be replaced.
