Shawn for Model Number MVWX500BW0 My washer won't complete a wash cycle. I can hear it running but it won't spin the clothes and then it just stops on wash and I can open the lid, but all the clothes a still dripping wet. I bought a new shift actuator thinking maybe that would fix it, but it did not. when I went to install the shift actuator I noticed what seems to be grease on the belt guard and belt. The washer will, however, spin if I set it to drain and spin. Any ideas what it could be?
Answer Shawn, the grease can cause the belt WPW10006384 to slip and decrease the resistance placed on the motor. Grease would only come from a gearcase W11454372 if it is starting to fail. It would be recommended that the unit is placed into a diagnostics mode to retrieve any stored error codes. If there is not a stored error code, it is likely that the main control W11100673 is not processing the cycles correctly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, May 27, 2020
