Deucecoupe for Model Number WTW4900BW0 I bot clutch W10721967, Checking stuff while changing it. The old gears look pretty good. The outer gear & spline turns the basket when the actiuator "shifts" I see that. If I grab the outer gear & turn it, the basket turns too, ok. But if I twist the outer gear QUICKLY, the basket slips first, maybe chatters a little, then the basket turns the gear. Seems this is happening inside the transmission. Is this normal? IE is there another "clutch" inside the transmission that can "slip" a little? Symptoms were, washer works but when it tries to spin, it makes a buzz/bump/zip noise, basket lurches & starts to spin but then it gives up.
Answer DeuceCoupe, if the drive hub W10528947 is not slipping and is in good condition, the gearcase W11454372 would be the cause of failure based on the information provided. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 10, 2022
