Washed Up for Model Number 11026892690 washer stopped spinning. gave drum a push by hand and it started back spinning for just that once. Installed new motor. drum spun one cycle and stopped working. Water fills the drum, motor makes humming noise. Checked clutch, motor drive coupler and transmission, all ok. I'm leaning toward motor starter capacitor may be bad....?? What should I check next?
Answer Hello Washed up, The capacitor is just for start up. If the motor is running for agitate then it would not be an issue with the capacitor. You will want to check the hub nut to make sure that it is tight and check the drive bell to make sure that it is good. Most spin issues with a direct drive unit is caused by a bad clutch assembly or bad transmission. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 21, 2013
