Jim for Model Number MDB8959SFZ4 After my daughter put a ton of food in my dishwasher, I cleaned the inside of the dishwasher, including removing the screen and protector assembly and cleaned everything. I wanted to take a look at the chopper, as in the old kitchenaid, that's where a lot of my cleaning issues originated (vegetables with skins would get caught, along with pieces of plastic, toothpicks ect.). The kitchenaid was simple, as the chopper was accessible from the top. However, it looks like the chopper for this maytag requires me to dig deeper. I found a video for replacing the drain pump, but nothing for the chopper (part #W10591562). Can you explain how to get to and check/clean the chopper?
Answer Jim, Unfortunately there is no video for the chopper but you would need to remove the cover and then remove the drain adapter and the outlet cover to access the chopper assembly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 9, 2018
